Beetroot powder Australia: Propel Health 250 g jar

Beetroot powder in Australia: what is in the jar

One ingredient: beetroot (Beta vulgaris). Whole beetroots are sliced and slowly air-dried, then milled to a fine, deep magenta powder. There is no carrier, filler, sweetener, flavour or colour added. Because it is the whole root rather than the juice, the fibre of the beetroot stays in.

The beetroot is grown and dried in Poland. We pack it at our own facility in Brendale, Queensland, and every batch is independently tested for glyphosate to a limit of reporting of 0.1 parts per million.

How to use beetroot powder

Stir one rounded teaspoon into water, juice, a smoothie or yoghurt. It also works in baking, dips, porridge and icing, where it doubles as a natural colour. For amounts and timing, read how much beetroot powder per day, and for ideas try our beetroot powder recipes.

What customers say

"Love this so much. I have it in my smoothie every morning without fail. I originally used to muck around with boiled beetroot, but the powder is so much easier."

★★★★★ Miss Jane, verified buyer, July 2026

"Fresh-tasting beetroot powder with a vibrant colour. Dissolves well in water or smoothies. ... Happy with the quality and will buy again."

★★★★★ Tracey A Birch, verified buyer, July 2025

Why choose this beetroot powder

Air-dried

Slow, low-temperature drying of the whole root, not juice sprayed onto a carrier. How air-drying differs.

Whole root, not juice

Whole beetroot powder keeps the fibre that juice powders leave behind. Juice powder vs whole powder.

More beetroot per dollar

One 5 g scoop equals a handful of capsules. Beetroot powder vs capsules.

Beetroot powder questions

How much beetroot powder should I use?

Our label serve is one rounded teaspoon, about 5 g, mixed into juice, a smoothie or food. More on how much beetroot powder per day.

What does it taste like?

Earthy and gently sweet, like roast beetroot. In a smoothie with fruit you will mostly notice the colour, not the flavour.

Will it turn things pink?

Yes. It is a strong natural colour, so it will tint smoothies, yoghurt, icing and your blender jug. Some people also notice pink urine after beetroot in any form. That is common and comes from the natural pigment.

Is it organic?

No, it is not certified organic. It is a single ingredient, non GMO, and independently tested for glyphosate. The full story is on our organic beetroot powder page.

Where does it come from?

The beetroot is grown and air-dried in Poland, then packed at our own facility in Brendale, Queensland.

How fast is shipping?

Orders are packed in Brendale and usually leave the next business day. Standard shipping is free on orders over $125. See shipping and returns.
